As I was standing at the sink last night brushing my teeth, I noticed storm clouds rolling in. Within a matter of minutes the backyard sky became a swirly canvas of fantastic blues, blacks, purples, reds and pinks. I cuddled up on my bed under a quilt to watch Mother nature's offerings. She certainly knows how to put on a good show.
I love when the air is so saturated with moisture, pressing heavy and satiny against your skin. The very smell of the air is intensified; fresh, wet, earthy, wholly indescribable.
Then came the terrific crash of thunder and jagged flashes of lightning. The hub remarked that it was close -very, very close.
Then the rainstorm came over me ...
Oh how I wish I could bottle up and save that summer storm, a treat for the senses; sight, smell and sound.

I LOVE a good storm. We sure don't seem to get many here where I live and I really really miss them.
Yes, I remember them from Australia. Man I loved hot, tropical summer storms.
Awesome.
Great pics too by the way!
